91 Magic.

As you can see from the above picture, I achieved level 91 in the skill of Magic today. From looking at my current level, I can also tell that I'm not even halfway to 99, which is slightly disheartening, but achievable none-the-less.
I've been working on getting my Runecrafting level up in the process, and have almost achieved level 80 in this skill (I should get in the next day or two....)
It's been easy enough to do the magic part, as I'm high alching a variety of different objects, mainly steel platebodies. I'm not making excessive cash on training this skill, but that wasn't my objective in the first place.... As long as I'm still able to break even, I don't really care if I'm not making any money...
To make the high alching easier, I've been watching TV shows and movies, to keep myself entertained. (I've secretly been listening to a couple of Audiobooks as well...)
Seeing as how high alching is a very repetitive mouse clicking skill, I've had a go at many different clicking options. I've tried turning on mouse keys, which is a nice way of training, however, you need to be at the keyboard continually for this and you wrist can begin to ache after sitting in the same spot for an extended period. I've also tried the traditional technique of using my standard computer mouse (I have a Logitech trackball as my main mouse), but this can also become strenuous after a while. I've tried a Genius presentation mouse, which is supposed to be used for powerpoint presentations. This is by far my most favourite way of high alching, but it does seem to chew through the batteries..... So I've taken a mini-trackball (one of the finger-held ones) and removed the trackball from the device, so that I'm not going to bump the pointer on-screen. As this mouse has a 5M cable, I can recline my chair back from my computer and put my feet up, which is the most ergonomic position and I can sit like this for an extended period.

I'm going to continue high alching and should hopefully get to 99 around October-ish, as well as a reasonably high Runecrafting level.

Any suggestions for what I should be high alching instead of Steel Platebodies would also be appreciated. For this, feel free to send me a tweet: http://twitter.com/Custard17

Until the next post, happy gaming!

Regards,

Adam.
