Runescape Money Making...... Really?

Maybe it's just me.... Well, at least that's what I'm beginning to wonder. I've played Runescape for such a long time now, and I never, ever, seem to have the luck of some of the other players online. The whole "I just got a 10M drop!" Makes me shrink and hide away in the corner of my room.
I don't particularly like combat, which is why I generally avoid it. I prefer the skills that take time and patience to get up, even if they are not really that exciting..... (E.g. I have 99 Mining and Smithing. I am currently going for 99 Crafting, which I should get in the next month or two....)
With these sort of skills, everyone is just like "You must be loaded!" Guess again! I have next-to-no money at all. I might make a little bit of cash, here and there, but I'll put it back into skills that I can't really be bothered gathering materials for. I've poured, I don't know how many million into Crafting so far.... In fact, only yesterday I spent another 25M on Blue Dragon Hides, which might get me one or two crafting levels... At this point, I'll then be completely broke again, and will have to make some more money before I can make a run for 99 Crafting.
Luck just doesn't seem to come easily to me.... Not even once, have I experienced a large drop or got anything decent in a clue scroll - and believe me, I do so many level 3 clues it's not funny.....
So instead, I'm going to continue with Runecrafting..... It may be painstakingly boring, but at least I'll make some decent cash off it.... Even if I do plan on spending it almost immediately...
